Frequently Asked Questions
Your approval code was sent to you in the approval notification email. We use the code to protect your identity. If you do not have the code, you can call (408) 445-5061. The staff member will request additional information from you, to verify that you are the correct recipient.
If the staff person is unable to verify your identity or confirm you are a recipient, then we will ask you to leave. Our team will do research and, if confirmed, will mail the card to you within 7-10 business days.
If you are able to show up within an hour of your scheduled appointment time, then we will be able to proceed with your pickup.
If you are unable to keep your scheduled time, then you will need to reschedule your pickup.
Find your original confirmation email, and use the links and buttons on that email to reschedule your pickup.
No. Only the person who applied for the grocery card grant and was approved may pick up the card. If you are picking up the card for someone else, we will be unable to deliver the card to you.
If you are reading this, then you should have your phone with you. However, if there is some extraordinary circumstance, then you may come to the front door and knock. Please wait for the staff member to come the door. All social distancing protocols must be followed, including limiting contact, maintaining 6 feet of separation, and limiting the handling of items.
Wearing a mask and gloves is highly encouraged. However, you should not need to get out of your vehicle until the staff member has placed the card under your windshield wiper and left. So a mask and gloves are not required in order to pick up the card.
If you must knock on the door to the SCCAOR offices, you must be wearing a mask and gloves, for your safety and the safety of SCCAOR staff members
